I’m a Chicago native who has made North Carolina my home. I’m a self-taught photographer, with much of my knowledge shaped by nearly 20 years working in television news. That experience taught me the value of seeking out and capturing authentic, organic images that tell a compelling story. For me, photographing people and events as a photojournalist is about capturing the essence of who we are and what matters most to us — frozen in a moment in time. This role feels especially important on wedding days, where the emotions run high and the pace is fast. In the blink of an eye, the bride and groom have dressed, exchanged vows, embraced loved ones, maybe even shared a piece of cake — and then the day is over. It’s my passion to document those fleeting moments before they slip away.
