I’m Holly Schisler, a photographer with a BA in Photojournalism from California State University of Fullerton and an MFA in Fine Art Photography from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. I’m originally from Rhode Island and have been living throughout California for the past 16 years.

My interest in photography began when I received my first Polaroid camera at age five. From that moment on, I wanted to capture everything around me.

I didn’t originally plan to become a wedding photographer. It started by chance through a connection with a wedding coordinator’s hairstylist, which led me into product photography and eventually into weddings. That experience completely changed the direction of my work and shaped me into the photographer I am today.

What I enjoy most about wedding photography is the connection with people and the uniqueness of every wedding. I feel honored to be part of such an important day in someone’s life.

My favorite moments to capture are the first dance, where I can document both emotion and candid interactions, as well as couple portraits, where I have space to be creative and intentional with composition and storytelling.
