Artifact Events is a great all-around event space in Chicago’s historic Ravenswood neighborhood. It is a remarkable choice for conferences, product launches and fundraising galas. Yet, it is the most popular as a wedding venue. 

Initially, it was an old factory, yet through the time it was remodeled to serve a more romantic purpose – hosting the wedding days. 

If the artifact events is your choice, their team of experts will spare you any troubles. An on-site manager will make sure everything runs smoothly. That’s only one benefit in the package of amenities. Not to mention, this Chicago wedding venue will offer both setup and cleanup services.

The building consists of 3 major sections – two of them inside and one outside. North Side Atrium, South Ravenswood Room with lounge area and South Loft and the beautiful private outdoor Courtyard. Because of its structure and complexity, it can host both, the wedding ceremony and the wedding reception afterward. In addition, you will be able to use a bridal/green room and free ample parking. It is also accessible by any motor vehicle either inside or outside.

The whole complex has an industrial feel, with the elegant touch of history. Exposed wooden beams inside and the antique stone columns and brick walls outside will make you feel like you traveled in time. You will have fitting black/copper chairs available. Also, 60-inch round dining tables, 36-inch highboy/cabaret tables, and 6-foot rectangular tables.

If the outdoor courtyard is not the option, you don’t need to worry. Because of the high ceilings, big windows, and natural light, you will feel like you’re outside, while protected from bad weather.

On the other hand, the temperature shouldn’t be any of your concerns. The climate control in Artifact Events gives comfort during the whole year-round.

In the Artifact Events, with three different sections available, you’ll have enough room for everything. Enough sitting space, large dance floor, and the bar for your cocktail hour – all at once. Even the caterers have their own prep space so there’s nothing left to chance. 

And the best thing of all – outdoor space is also included.

North Side Atrium

This atrium space can accommodate up to 300 seated or 500 cocktail guests in the 8,400 sq ft of space. It has an industrial vibe characteristic for this wedding venue.  

The combination of a large dance floor area and the seated places is just right. There will be enough space to dance, for the ones who want to dance, and to sit and chat for the ones who didn’t drink enough yet – a win-win situation.  

On the second floor of the North atrium, you will find a charming wooden floor and the perfect view overlooking the atrium space. 

Also, you will have a spare room and use it as a bridal suite or a green room. 

South Ravenswood Room & Lounge + South Loft

A slightly smaller, yet more versatile south part has 200 seated or 400 cocktail places in the 7,500 sq ft. 

A ground floor is divided into 2 – Ravenswood Room & Lounge. 

In the Lounge, you will find a large glass door looking into the Courtyard. Ceilings are high and walls are covered in bricks. 

Ravenswood room can be either a large dance floor or dining seating area. Design is similar to the Lounge, with exposed brick and wood beams.

South Loft has a standard loft seating. It is ideal for ceremonies and includes a green room or wedding suite. 

Courtyard

Last but not least, a beautiful private outdoor Courtyard. 

This secrete spot is a true delicacy of this venue. Private outdoor space adorned by ancient stone columns on one side and the Lounge of the South Ravenswood room on the other.  

By combining the Courtyard with either North Side Atrium or Ravenswood Lounge you can get a perfect set up for ceremony plus reception. The best-case scenario is for the ceremony to happen in the outdoor Courtyard, continuing with the reception inside.

Security

According to Artifact Events, one required security guard will be provided per 250 guests. Also, the level of staff and security will be determined for every individual situation.

Bar 

What is a wedding without a nice cocktail or two? 

It doesn’t matter what section you choose, an accessible bar will be provided with professional bartenders. An estimate is one bartender per 50 to 75 guests, enough to satisfy all your guests’ needs.
