I’m J, a Boston-based wedding photographer of 15 years and I love traveling to new places for weddings. My work has been described as candidly fresh and untraditional. I try to capture moments as they’re happening rather than create them myself and pose folks too much throughout the day. I’m a bit of a goof so if I’m not being a silent ninja crouching behind a pillar getting candids of Mom crying tears of joy during the ceremony, I’ll be cracking Dad jokes to get a group of folks to laugh during formal portraits.

I know each and every wedding is truly unique to every couple. I love getting to know people so the photos I’m creating are really special. One of the rules I live by is that “a portrait is not made in the camera, but on either side of it.” -Edward Steichen
