I am a photographer of 15 years who has specialized in wildlife and ecological journalism. I was self-taught when I was younger, and refined my skills with a media focus in my undergraduate degree. For years I have been bringing an organic, storytelling style to my event photography. The true beauty in making images of people – and its pull on me – is the challenge and reward of capturing emotion. A photo is not just about remembering what happened; it’s about remembering how a moment felt. And that’s why weddings are special: they are the days of the greatest emotions during the biggest moments of a couple’s lives. Of these moments, first looks (at the altar and behind the scenes) are often the most significant rush of emotions, and some of the most rewarding images.
