The Mid-America Club is a unique and classy wedding venue on the top of Chicago‘s third-tallest skyscraper. The club on the 80th floor of the Aon Center overlooks the big part of Chicago and Lake Michigan

It is located in the heart of the city, next to the Millennium Park, Willis Tower, and Navy Pier. The Mid-America Club is easily accessible from any location and is a great option for all out of town guests.

Nearby, you can find a wide variety of accommodation options. Even better, there is an underground walkway connecting with the Fairmont Hotel. It may not seem so important, yet during the harsh winters, you’ll be thankful.

Also, the area is surrounded by most of Chicago‘s famous sights, parks, and other facilities. Therefore, your guests may enjoy some quality time for the duration of their stay before or after the wedding.

However, a panoramic view of the city is not the only thing Mid-America Club can offer you. An exceptional dining experience is another advantage of this elegant event space. The club‘s executive chef, Michael Pivoney is in charge of bringing joy to the guests’ taste buds for more than 10 years now. Whether you are a private club member, dining guest, or the newlywed, as soon as the entree goes out you’ll understand the hype.

Not to mention, professional staff at the Mid-America Club will help you with all the setup and the plan for reception space. According to your wishes, an on-site banquet manager and/or private dining event director will be available for any help and assistance.

About the Mid-America Club wedding party

The venue’s maximum capacity is 500 people – more than enough for most of the weddings out there.

The main, dining room is the Burnham Ballroom. The decor is mostly neutral, pulling towards the warm ambiance. Dominating colors are brown, mahogany, ivory, black and white. Yet, enough room is left for you to customize and give your signature to the venue.

The dance floor is wood-tiled and the space is large enough, providing a sufficient amount of comfort.

Next to the Burnham Ballroom, there is a bar reserved for the cocktail hour exclusively. Besides, you will be able to use additional smaller rooms for personal needs and requirements.

Now we come to the star of Mid-America Club – a grand panoramic view

From the Burnham Ballroom, you can see the east, west, and south. Just below the building, there is a lovely E Randolph st. Magnificent parks are following afterward – Millenium Park, Maggie Daley Park, Buckingham Fountain, Willis Tower, and of course the Lake Michigan.

And from the Cocktail Room, you will overlook the north. John Hancock building is the first thing you will see, then the Tribune Tower, the Wrigley Building, and the DuSable Bridge.

Cuisine

As it’s already said – extravagantly good food is the major strong point of the Mid-America Club. The executive chef has been leading the kitchen staff for more than ten years in the club. Before joining the current team, he gained experience from some major players in the hospitality industry.

Michael Pivoney was one of the chefs who opened The Grand Floridian – Disney’s first five-star resort. Later on, he worked at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, Sheraton Hotel Chicago, Hyatt San Antonio, The Signature Room in Chicago, and many more.

The menu is influenced mostly by Italian and French fine gastronomy.

There is an elegant selection of butler passed appetizers. From the land, through the garden, and the see. Beef Tenderloin Tartare with Black Truffle, Seared Scallop Wrapped in Bacon Aioli, or Vegan Vermicelli Rice Noodle Pot Sticker – the choice is yours.

The salad menu includes the regular – Ceasar Salad, Red Oak Salad, and any combinations including field greens, red peppers, and nuts.

And for the main, we suggest you go with the classic – Filet Mignon with the addition of Butternut Squash Risotto to wrap up the story.
